Although as much as you would like to craft the customer testimonials to your liking, I agree that it's never a good idea to alter the customer's own words. It loses the authenticity. It may even make the testimonial look suspicious. I would go back to the customer for horrendous spelling or grammatical mistakes but no further than that.
